ABOUT US
The San Joaquin Electrical Training Institute is the Training Center for the San Joaquin and Calaveras Counties Electrical JATC and San Joaquin and Calaveras Counties Electrical Training and Education Trust. The San Joaquin and Calaveras Counties Electrical Training and Education Trust is jointly sponsored by IBEW Local Union 595 and the Northern California Chapter of NECA. We pride ourselves in providing high quality educational experience that competes with higher institutions, providing lasting careers to our students. We are committed to supporting the education of the San Joaquin and Calaveras counties by instructing on the latest technologies and techniques in the market.
The SJ ETI currently offers an Inside Wireman program that is a 5- year training program that requires a minimum of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training in the electrical industry with the supervision of a journeyman wireman electrician.
ABOUT IBEW LOCAL UNION 595
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 595 encompasses Alameda County as well as San Joaquin/Calaveras Counties. We are one of the largest IBEW Locals in Northern California with over 2000 members. IBEW Local 595 Inside wiremen provide electrical services to a wide range of companies, such as the Port of Oakland, the Lawrence Livermore Lab, NUMMI, and many others. Our skilled Electricians build out new homes, condominiums, and apartment developments constructed in the Bay Area as well as Stockton. Members in the VDV (Voice/Data/Video) sector work in such areas as wireless, fiber optic, cell sites, network systems, AV systems, security systems, fire/life safety systems, and CATV.

Since its inception in 1944, the Northern California Chapter, NECA has been committed to providing excellent service and the best possible representation of union electrical contractors. Through advocacy, education, research and strategic partnerships, our Member Contractors benefit from our services at the local and national level.
